Woking Day Care in Surrey has a wide range of daily activities on offer to suit people’s interests and preferences.
The compassionate team are trained to support people with dementia and they are able to provide a range of activities that encourage social interaction and wellbeing. This includes a recently installed Tovertafel (‘Magic Table’ in Dutch), an innovation from the Netherlands, that contains a series of games designed specifically for people living with mid to late stage dementia.
The Table was created to encourage participation and engagement and stimulate people both physically and socially. It can be played independently or in groups.
People who attend the centre can enjoy a light breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
